Yes the female maybe in the mood to spawn. Look for pink belly and a white tube protuding from the ***. By right the male should be interested in her by now.
All of a sudden my female ram became aggressive towards the male.
Before that they seem to be a pair and were not aggressive towards each other.
Is it true that if the female has a pinkish stomach and the male's mouth starts to become very red, they are likely to be a pair or in the breeding mood? My LFS told me that.

Got friend who is mad about ram, if got breed can sell/give some to her? haha
By the way, good luck in breeding.
Getting poison everyday
I saw very nice rams at JZX yesterday.
To get my ram couple "heat up", I feed them with high protein food and live brine shrimp and within days, I will see them in breeding mood. This is just my experience with the ram and may not work on all. I don't have occurrence that the female is aggressive toward the male, but I experienced the opposite. I used to have a male ram that really attack and killed 2 female before taking a liking toward the 3rd one that I put into tank and within days, come the good news.

My 2 ft tank
Flora: Anubias barteri var Nana, var "Gold" and "mini", Crypto Wendtii, C.parva, Marsilea Hirsuta, Flame Moss, Hygrophila Polysperma, H.Violacea & H.Corymbosa, US Fissiden
Fauna: Guppy, Pelvicachromis Pulcher, Nannacara Anomala, Laetacara Araguaiae 'Buckelkopf'
So far, they show signs to be a pair, but still, my female is still very aggresive.
I might go get some tubi and feed them for a few days. Hope they would spawn soon.
Frankly, you will be better to feed live brine shrimp rather than tubifex worm, the price is about the same.

My LFS doesnt have Brine shimp and I don't want to start a culture. But if the tubi are not going to simulate the couple, I would go get Brine shrimps.
On a sidenote, do all male rams have a red line across the top fin?
What I noticed is that my male is starting to get aggressive with his tankmates coming into his territory and fights back the female.
Which has not happened before.
Think is quite common. Ram is a cichlids afterall.

Tubi do carry diseases but I trust my LFS to carry clean ones. But still, I would washed them still. I used the same tubi for my betta before and they were doing well.
