yes, you can get spinach for them too. BUT, make sure that your vegetables are organic and no pesticide used during the froing of the vegetable.
Hi guys
Just wondering beside the shrimp food we purchase from LFS
What are some of the natural food we can feed them to enhance their nutrition or colour ?
I tried feeding carrot to my cherry .. I think it is too hard for them to chew hence i guess i need to boil them longer ? I heard spinach is a good choice ?

they like the japanese cucumber too .. and yes there is a chance of pesticide on our vege, dun risk it
So i dont feed real food as availability is not feasible for us who buy from markets/supermarket
look for commercial food that contains axthathin (red) , carotene, spirulina, pearl enzyme (whiteness i think)
they are good for color enhancer..
feeding vege should be more fun for hamster.. hah

i think as long as you remove the surrounding and boil it .. shld not be a problem ??
Some people feed them boil egg for protein and some other vegetable for some natural vitamin ?
I think maybe it will benefit shrimp because i read somewhere regarding diet that affect the colour ... Shrimp that lack of natural food may result in their loss in colour ..
Boil some water, dip the spinach in for a few seconds then take it out and wash under cool water. After that it can go in your tank. The key is to blanch it, not scorch it.
