Insufficient unless it is a much bigger sponge filter. This however depends on your bioload and what you intend to keep.

Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.

Bioload means amount & type of fish u put inside. Why are you referring us back to the picture?
More than ONE fish = Fish
More than ONE species of fish = Fishes
I'm using that . 2 of it. Have quite alot of tetras, pleco and 2 baby clown loaches. Seems fine except water is never clear.
Low tech tank FTW!

Get those cheap black round sponge type if you want. Those are good for bio filteration and bb keeeping only. You still need mechanical filteration to make water clear. But once you take it out for cleaning, those particles will return back to the tank. But leave it a day or 2 most of it will settle down nicely again .
Getting poison everyday
Qns i put both air driven filter

will it affect the suction ?
I'm A Newbie Pls Don't Flame Me
Such Sponge filter is not sufficient. As it will only trap your waste and misc dirt when it floats and bypass it. It's more advisable to get a mechanical filter like a hang on filter or external box/canister filter. There is not much water circulation in your tank therefore water will not be clear as there are particles in the water unable to filter out. You can try using carbon to help make the water clear or those crystal clear liquid.

Imho I will use either an internal filter...
Or an external cannister filter...
Brand and price is up to you, what's important is the amount of filter media the filter can hold in relative to your tank size and amount of livestock, as well as the filter throughput (gallons or litres per hour). Throughput is important because you can have all the filter media in the world but if you only have a lousy pump to push water through them, it's going to be useless.
Yours is a 2ft tank, I assume the standard 60L tank. If you use that filter in your first post, you will have very low water circulation in the tank unless the entire tank is empty other than fishes. You will also have less freeplay when it comes to tank maintenance because that filter is too small to handle a large bioload.

These days there are external canisters that are of various capacity. I think is good for you to invest in one if you plan to keep up with this hobby. Internal canister can also be used by maintenance is more troublesome and more prone to leakage current in the water.
