Sorry, off topic but based on the above photo, the white stringy poo, it may be a sign of internal parasite present. Do take care of it.

Sorry to dig up this post , but 1 of my platies have white stringy poo recently , but it is eating fine. What precautions should take not of?

GuppyLover, this question is for another section, so I split your post accordingly.

White stringy poo is a sign of internal parasites, which can be anything. Feeding the fish with a garlic infused food may help, or feeding it with an anti-bacterial medicated food like Sera Baktotabs may clear it out. Beware though, this can also be a sign of old age, upon which your fish will sometimes just waste away and die.

Oops sorry stormhawk for posting at the wrong section.

I think the platy is old already as it has been with my neighbour for almost four years then she passed it to me. I can't find it anywhere in my tank now since the past few days I went to a chalet , I think it died and got eaten up.
