    Hello,

Is Micranthem micranthemoides(MM) a fast growing plant? What are the requirements for it?

BTw, what is the usual price for it?

    Tks

Really very fast! just cut/throw a big bunch yesterday night. Standard requirement Light (weak to mid light) CO2 (doesn't matter much) fert (zero fert also can!). If you provide it with sufficient. you will not have MM, but a weed!

I have some in my Low light 14inch tank the growth was fast and dense! I once saw my oto struggling to break free when it got trapped. Some stalks grows side ways and get rooted, then side shoots appear. This way it will slowly enlarge the area it occupied!

Sale wise, didn't notice any. if you are interested, next trimming session (Say 2weeks) can pass you a handful!

My experience of MM is that it started pretty slow. In fact, i even thought of removing it. But after some time, you can it creeping provided that your light is strong. As time goes by, it will go taller and denser thus eventually forming the ball shape that most people wanted.

MM.. its a brilliant plant for starters. If you don't have a foreground plant (high amount lights else they grow tall), use it. It is perfect... the bubbles are perfect.. all except one thing. I grows like WEEDS!!! Of which makes it an easy plant.
