it was already like this when i bought it. i don't know if i should let it grow out of the mesh, or replant them.

Well I suppose you have done the fishless cycle already? Do you quarantine the fish when you first bought as fish diseases dont show till after a week or 2.
Since you already have plants in your tank, salt treatment is nono unless your plants is those brackish water type which I dont think it is. Google Whitespot, ich and fungus and compare the image to your infected fish or if possible, get a close up shot of the fish infected. Maybe the bros here can help you on this part.
Try to quarantine the infected fish if you have a hospital tank ( Provided its cycled ). There are some medication on the market that can both treat the fish and not affecting the plants too much as you might wanna treat whole tank to be safe.
ps. Always wash and check the newly bought plants as some might contain unwanted snails and stuff.![]()
Getting poison everyday

this is an example i found off the google images. it's somewhat like that, happened to a couple of my cardinals'.
i also did a water change with aged water with anti-chlorine only, and monitoring the tank.
