    Hi bros and sis

I came across this plant at a LFS I thought is quite pretty so I bought it. It's all attached to a sponge or some filter media or something.

Also, thank god I dunk this into a pail of water to sort of wash it first. That's when I realised there are many debris and also many alien worms!

    Questions,

    - What plant is this?
    - This is suitable for my shrimps I hope? I'm using an IQ5.
    - How long do I need to soak this plant in my pail of water so it can be safe to put into my IQ5 with the shrimps?
    - Any other tips to make sure the plant is really really clean?

I'm really noob in all these so any advise appreciated!

Its a Hemianthus callitrichoides, not an easy plants. your IQ5 led light most likely not enough. This plants require lots of CO2. If you want it to be really-really clean, you need to plan it stem by stem instead of putting the whole thing in your tank.

I'm not that advanced to do CO2 and planting it stem by stem. lol.

Dang. Bought the wrong thing again.

Should I just soak the whole thing in tap water for one whole day and hope all the worms will die? I suppose chlorinated water will kill all ?

There is a thread on how to plant HC etc. Not a easy plant as what bro shadow says. Maybe cut it into half and sell to others if you want. For planting, you might wanna cut it 1cm by 1cm and then plant it. Lots of co2, lighting and substrate plays a major part. Read up on the planted and aquascaping section for more info if you are really interested in this plants
