Hi Simon nice pic. Where you got your napo from cause it really looks like C. undulatus to me. I may be wrong but most of the napo I have seen is more elongated and have more gold on the body. From the pic, yours appears to be more deep-bodied.

Hey Danny, that napo has been with me for about 3-4years.. got it from H20, also a elegans.. which I first mistake for a napo as well.. got some napo from a kind hobbist and they do look the same as the one in the picture.. also, the colours has faded quite a bit
Just my view, maybe wrong. But napo and undulatus are really alike. Just that undulatus is more ridged;have a higher back, than a napo. I was curious cause never really see any undulatus for sale in Singapore before. Could be mixed in with the napo shipment, these thing sometime happens and you are lucky to have got it.
Look under my signature for my napo pic and you can see what I meant by having being more ridged.

Danny, it should be a napo, he once looks exactly like that, perharps the colours got faded with age. you have a nice collection of cory :P too bad none of the C. reynoldis i got survived the first week[]
Hey Simon!
Some of my favorite photographic subjects you've got there! Nice!
However, I think you new lenses are letting you get too close to your subject? Some of them have got their tails cropped off. Back off a little and the pictures will be perfect. But of course, as it is, it's already very nice.
On the subject of Corydoras napoensis versus Corydoras undulatus, I do find that the undulatus only have the lower "gold" stripe that's more or less joined together. The upper stripe seems to be broken and not very straight.
Corydoras undulatus
Corydoras napoensis
On the subject of cories losing their color or turning dark, it may be a sign of the cory being sick. Better be careful. The two napoensis above are still showing good color. They are from the same batch as your second set.
Keep them cory pictures coming man!
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
ya, i agree the 500D closeup, cuts the min. focus length by halve... so now, i getting too close to them
