quite different. Different group. TS looking at Echinodorus, while corkscrew is from Vallisneria group....
Am i right Felix?? Still learning, this names drives me nuts......
The Vesuvius is something rare from Echinodorus..... some books i look do not have it labelled..... maybe this plants surfaced few years ago only..... just my guess, can be very wrong.
Cork screw is easy to keep and undemanding..... can buy as nice background plant....
Ranchu have 2, Felix my guess is can start, as base on internet, they can spread quite good..... need iron supplement and sandy subtract i think....

I am looking at the 1st one mentioned.
Reasons, cause the look after some google searching turns out it might not grow as tall as Vallisneria family nor E.tenellus which is popular.
Plus point, it seems that it fans out more then E.tenellus. So i hope can try this plant and maybe cultivate it
When take out of water (i believe emersed growth, yes believe means i cannot confirm as i have no experience pior to this thread.) it should look like the picture in the below link.

Echinodorus suppose to be bog plants, so you should be right they can be emersed.
The one that i have looks like yany type, but the picture you post quite different from mine..... attached.

oops, sorry for the misinformation. Actually I have both of them in my previous tank. Let me share them for comparison.
Foreground - Echinodorus Vesuvius
Background - Vallisneria Spiralis
Echinodorus has tigher twirls and thinner leaves. Hope I'm correct this time.![]()
growth depend environment ma, must try see how it goes...this tank left less then 60 days...
