Wow that's really nice of them. Hope when they get more popular this kind of service will remain.
Here's a feedback abt dennerle. Very good support from them.
The problem was that I dropped by dennerle comfort 588 pH controller and one cover came loose and I lost one black button, so I write them them and here is their reply and they will be sending me the part FOC. Great support
Dear Sir,

Betreff: Dennerle pH controller 588
Dear Sir,
I've been using your pH controller 588 for the last 3 years.
It has been working very well until I moved my aquarium yesterday. I dropped
the pH controller and the green plastic cover came off.
The controller is still working but the "black button" for setting the pH
control value is lost.
Can you please let me know how I can purchase this "black button"
Best Regards.

I received the black button from them already, installed and my 588 is running great now.
Hi
Glad to hear that ur PH controller is running smoothly after some great service. By the way, is the PH controller useful? Does it really control ur tank's PH that well? The PH of my tank is between 5.5 to 6.0, slightly acidic. I have thought of adding Baking Soda but the PH will just fall back after a week. Too troublesome. May I know whats the cost and its usefulness? Where can I get a good bargain for it?
Thanks in advance.
Victor
a ph controller will keep the tank's ph within a small range, think +/-0.1. it does this by controlling the co2 injection.
depending on brands, prices should range from $300++, i think. it is good to have and not an absolute neccessity.
adding baking soda is meant to provide carbonate as a buffer to prevent ph crash.
I have added baking soda recently and tested the PH. Now, it ranges from 7 to 7.5. KH has also increased to 2 dKH. Will raise it to 4 dKH after 24 hrs. So in a nutshell, if the KH is 4dKH, the PH is between 7 to 7.5, I guess thats good enough rite guys?
Errr.. increase your KH 1 degree in 24 hour not faster than that. Try to maintain it at around 4 with ph value of 6.8. that would roughly give you 18.7 mg/l. If your tank is heavily planted and you do not have alot of fishes, you might want to raise the injection to give about 30 mg/l without causing any stress to your fish (no fish gasping ay surface). As usual, make small changes over a period of time to bring it to the level you wish to have.
Cheerio,
