That depends on what you intend to keep, whether you wish to use a chiller etc.
Personally for a 2ft, with low bioload, I would use Eden 501, since it is fairly silent once up and running. Only thing is, it has to be on the same level as the tank, not lower than the tank itself.
Eheim 2211/2213/2222 are good too, if you don't mind spending more.

In case you considering the Eden 501 as mentioned by bro stormhawk above, do take a look at its bigger "step-brother" Shiruba XB-303, also available as ISTA Max Care. It is extremely quiet, has bigger capacity & higher flowrate.
But of course, Eheim 2213 still a better choice for 2ft tank, altho its not really that quiet, at least on mine

I use up 120. Silent and spacey for filter media.
