    Ya, right, that's the shop.

There is this shop at Tampines selling an Italian brand, 1.2m tank at $788, with "built-in" filter, cabinet, normal lights and cabinet. The name of the shop is " Pro Pet " I think. Was thinking of that one at first but not very comfortable with the built-in filter.

The brand Chyebeng is referring to is Nathura & the model is Nautilas. Yes the pr of $788 is very tempting, but soon enuf u'd wan to rip out the built-in filter & ditch the cool looking cover. Moreover, i think this tank is not dat suitable as a planted tank, as it doesn't seem to give enuf depth (<1.5ft) and height.

Otherwise, the tank itself is of very gd quality (plus it comes wif a nice black cabinet).

My 2cents worth....others may beg to differ of course....

Found most of the tank with cabinet the lighting is not suitable for Planted setup.

If retrofit or redo, might not have enough space. It might end up throwing away the cover.

Just wondering any shops sell tank with PL lights ( enough for planted setup) and hood.

IMHO, the best tank for plant setup is a custom made one.. there isnt a tank ard which can fit all of our expectation, either too short, too narrow, comes with a side border

haha 20ft x10ft is too big for me already even if i can afford it

it reduces the viewing value of the tank already

i think the best size dream tank is 9ftx3ft wide
    2.5ft tall.

Actually, Hee Meng got Sin Chew to send his tank with a custom hood
Natok(sp?) wood. There's lots of space for him to DIY lights in there for his 4x2x2.

Only problem is that because of the closed system, his tank temp goes up to 30C

coz if one day for some reasons you cannot have koi anymore, you will have migraine looking at the empty glass canal below you filled with dirt and some algae and mosquito larvae

Kel, there is a semi-D or terrace property in Katong (around Tembeling Rd area I think) with exactly this feature!
