Windelov
Cheers, chris

Hi,
I saw that there are many types of java ferns in different websites as well as several posting from AQ members. I will list them out from the common to the not so common type:
1) Java Fern (Normal type)
2) Philippine Java fern
3) Narrow leaf Java fern
4) Taiwan narrow leaf java fern
5) Mini narrow leaf java fern
6) Needle narrow leaf java fern
7) ....
Is this list correct or did i miss out anything? Thanks.

I have windelov in my tank, and recently it started sprouting plantlets at it's tips... Nvr knew it could do this. At first, I thought they were algae!

Hi, just show this thread.
Whats the diff between no. 4 and 5,
And no. 6 and 7?
Can any bros here enlighten?
Are these all the same species, or different morphs of a single species, or completely different species?
And does anyone know if "Java fern" is known to grow in the wild in Singapore? I got some from the LFS as it would make a hardy addition to my Singapore stream setup, and especially because it's supposedly a Southeast Asian native, but would like to confirm that Java fern is indeed found in Singapore's freshwater habitats.
