you can try "no planaria", bnot sure which shop sell it though.
Hi guys, do anyone here know of ways getting the planaria/flatworms from the tank?
i tried removing it manually, but it does seem neverending.
the most effective method i have used is to sun the substrate, which is sooo troublesome.
is there any medicine or something to kill these things?
thanks!

Y618 got sell. Got from there. Personally tried once but seems not effective as I still planaria in my tank.
I believe no planaria are more effective for hydras. Just an opinion.
Shrimp tank FTW!
The best way to get rid of Planaria totally is to trap them and kill them. I've seen the Gush pen at work at GC and that thing is amazing for seed shrimps and planaria. However, you can DIY your own trap and kill them with a salt bath after you've trapped them. See this link for a simple and effective trap.

But are planaria or flatworm harmful?
They compete with your shrimps for food and will occasionally feed on your shrimplets. In any case, they are unsightly and are pretty much pests. If you have these in your tanks and you are selling the shrimp to others, they will hitchhike a ride into the buyer's tanks, like snails.

Expensive yes, but useful tool nonetheless. The DIY option is always available. I've seen many different DIY traps on Youtube and Google.

I tried the gush catch pen but just to share from my personal experience is that planaria will try to crawl out from the catch pen. So once they got inside, got to quick take out the catch pen before they find their way out. Also the bait is very important to lure them.
Care to share what bait to use?
I use pork liver. Just a tinny cube attracts them.
Make a planaria trap.
You can find that on the internet.
