I think 2211 is a good filter too , depending on what u are looking for, you can visit seletar farmway nanyang seaview they having promo 15% off for purchases over $10 excluding sale items . i just got some equipment from there , saved alot !

Back to 2213, really impress with the low noise and fast flow rate ( for my 45cm tank).... Lately i do my scape rearranging, the amazonia clouded my whole tank and witihn min of turning on the filter, my tank is clear again
Btw, do i really need to put the rain pipe as outflow? Current i just use tge outflow pipe w/o the rain pipe, just below water surface....at night i raise it up to create arieation for the fish....

Ok price will not difference too much. Still you are there. Just buy la. Better then making another trip most also difference 5-10 dollar. Plus 110 cannot get cheaper liao

Wha guys what an epic fail moment! I bought the filter, set the filter until damn nice. Turn on filter the motor made a lot of noise. Then did some research online it's a spoilt filter. FML

The filter wont even suck the water up
? Did you fill the filter chamber with some water at least? You need to get some water in the intake hose for the siphon effect to work. Simple method is to fill up the output hose with water until some excess water appears on the intake hose. Once this is done just turn it on, there will be a rush of air bubbles being released from the pump head.
If you skipped this step and started with an empty canister chamber, you cannot expect the impeller to pull the water in by itself when it's running empty, especially since the 2213 does not come with a self-priming feature.

Not bad the filter, but currently the output abit too strong, destroy all my HC lol. My tank quite small. I think i'll give up on HC and grow some other plants.
