I think 1048's 600l/h power not enough to push the water thru all the extra tubing and devices fast enough.
I've just bought a 2nd hand resun chiller for my 2ft tank with cabinet. In order to use less electricity consumption, I was thinking of connecting all my equipment for this tank in series. I would want to use a Eheim pump 1048 which will be connected to the Eheim 2222 which in turn be connected to the external reactor and then the chiller and the outlet will end back to the tank.

For the 2222, I will take out the impeller and just use the canister as it is without plugging it. The 1048 is rated for 600lt/h, just a tad bit more than what the 2222 current flow rate which is at 500lt/h. I am hoping that the extra 100lt/h flow is adequate for the whole setup. What do you guys think? Do you forsee any problem? Thanks!

the electricity savings may not be significant.
you can connect up all your equipment in the way you planned. test it out and if flow rate is insufficient, put the impeller back into the 2222.
