You can easily get those timer from any diy shop and some fish shop
hello everyone, may I enquire how do we go about to setup a timer system. I am interested to use it for LED lighting and most likely it will be turn on for 6h with 2h resting period and continues on. is there any way to do it?(: appreciated all replies.

lol this type of timer can get any stores. Unless you want seconds(s) timer. I search so long only mistking got sell. I thought of diy but 555circuit is too difficult for me. the only choice I got is to use arduino and make a solenoid to open and on the circuit. but again how to make a solenoid.

you will not be able to use a solenoid to switch on/off. a solenoid is basically an electromagnet that moves an actuator or arm.
what you need is a relay driven from Darlington-pair or compound-pair transistor circuits.
