Actually, I get good equipment but I try to save cost liao le. Example I buy chiller $450. a first hand hailea cost about $300 also ma. $150 more for a peace of mind.(you need to know the seller to trust it ba).
It's the add up cost ba.
Eheim 2213 plus eheim medias. chiller. ada soil. mosura products. SSS shrimps haha Ex.
But I really love the shrimps sia. Sad now no shrimp tank. Hai.. alway talk about future future. lol presently no tank. Go home nothing to look forward to. lol. I miss my tank.

$500 and above setup.
To keep shrimps totaling $700-800 or more.

Wow I hate this topic question, haha. Definitely more than 1k on setup alone. Also make mistakes along the way.
But for people who are keeping high ended shrimps, the setup cost should be lesser than their shrimp cost. So it's worth spending more on good setups

It's more important to weight Joy versus Money spent.
If the 1k you spent brought you immerse pleasure / kept you occupied / let you have something to look forward going home to, then I think it's money well spent.

Some bros can be happy with just a nano tank with 3 neon tetras, while others 20 black king kong also not enough. To each his own!
