Think most answers should be 'quite a bit too'

Less then $100 for week 1,
    Tank $30.
    Substrate $30.
Filter $30, hof, internal filter or low end canister.
    Ect $10.
    No stand.

That follows by "LFS therapy" of many upgrades.

Yes after week 2 will need "lfs therapy" and spend more haha. And low tech include canister.

    Long thread ahead.
I think a canister filter would be already 100+ haha!
I've spent about 100+ already so far.. After CNY will buy a canister so 200+
I've spent about 150+ on betta fish in the past..

Work is extremely boring, so hence the fast reply lol!
Well, i've read from others in this forum highly reccommending eheim, though it might cost more, but in future, maintainence and etc would be less costly right?

So what do you suggest? Is it worth buying an eheim? Because i'm still comtemplating whether to buy eheim or a cheaper canister. Don't wanna spend too much on maintainence haha. My dad has an eheim which he does not even touch for 2 years, still runs like a champion.

Re: How much have you spent on setting up your tank?

If you want an eheim and don't want to spend too much, look for one in the market place. Be prepared to change the O rings and maybe even the impeller. After that she will be good as new and still cheaper than a new one.
