My tank is filled with algae now, the driftwoods and plants all have algae.
I intend to re-setup my tank, if i put my driftwood in an entirely new water, will there still be algae spore from the driftwood and eventually my tank will be filled with algae again?

    Re: Question about algae

you can try boils your wood, that should kill the algae and its spore. Actually you should worry about your water parameter instead, because spore is also in the water.

Now my algae are also on my plants. Is there anyway to get rid of the algae without damaging my java moss?

I heard that giving the tank less light would help remove the algae.

What type of algae are you encountering? Different algae need to treat differently.

Currently, I have some java moss tied to coconut husk and another tied to driftwood. Should i soak them in bleach, and cut trim them till 2-3mm? What do you suggest?

For my case, I will just trip them. They may look lifeless (May even see a llittle browning) after trimming but look fine after they start growing back.
