    Update:

    Put in sudo and river sand, changed the DW, put in 5 caves for my future rams..

    Bro what light you using for your 1ft tank?
    I using a led clip on light and my narrow leaf java fern showing browning.
    Need to buy new light.

    i can use my own money to get one. Problem is my CO back home. sure to wallop me if she sees any tank bigger than 1.5ft guess gotta wait till i have my own home.

    think 3 feet is a good size for planted ,not too big not too small just right
