    Hi guys

I am cycling my tank for 3 days already. I realized there is a white layer of mould or fungus on my soil. I read up on many forum and they said a water change will solve it? It is true ?

Some said the use of excessive bt-9 causes it. I myself used bt-9 for the cycling of tank. What should i do ? Anyone face such issue before? I am rearing shrimp so worried if it will kill my shrimps.

    Thank

I am no expert. But I experienced the same issue with my new start up recently. Send in an army of cherry shrimp and otos and it disappeared fairly quickly. No harm changing water as well.

    cheers
