Btw you perform thorough maintenance or just a filter change?

I did some maintenance on my 2215 today and after I put it together and got it primed, I noticed the flow was significantly weaker. Turned on the filter and heard a much louder sound from the motor. At first I thought it was clearing the air out and hence the sound but it's been half an hour and still very noisy. There is also air bubbles released from my rain bar. Any idea why the noise and the air bubbles?

Pretty thorough maintenance. I washed all the filter media (except the ceramic rings) and put in new carbon pad. I didn't remove the impeller or wash it though. Could that be the reason?
most likely still air bubbles being trapped in the filter. since air is coming out of the rain bar. what i do when this occurs ( do not have quick disconnect taps )
switch off the pump, give the filter a good shake, not too hard till it breaks things. and give a good suck at the end of the outlet ( remove the rainbar )
this usually it works.
Low tech tank FTW!

yah the air might be trapped at the corners. with the water just give it a little shake to dislodge the air-bubbles.. it might work after a few tries.

Tilt the canister around to release the trapped air.
