why not consider having the fan run continously.
Hi Bros, need some advise on chiller, has anybody connected an additional small fan to the wires of the chiller when it kick-in, fan runs and off when kick-out. Limited space for my chiller, so need to blow the warm air away. Are there any links or photos? Thanks.![]()

Yah agree with above. Its easier to do it that way without opening up your chiller.

Bro to modify the wiring to accomodate an additional fan might pose some electrical hazard.
Although it sounds rather uncomplicated to tap on the power supply wire of the chiller but when a chiller kick in it draws in very high wattage which the fan might not be able to take it.
Strongly agree with bro tawauboy and eviltrain to install the fan separately.
Ok, will give it a try but wouldn't it be a waste of electricity running 24/365 ???
The wattage for small fan not much de la.

I'm thinking of doing the same as I want to vent the hot air out of my room, otherwise it'll loop back into the chiller again.
How you can do this is using a temperature controller, that can turn on a 3 pin plug when your tank water reaches a certain temperature. The controller can be DIY'ed for maybe $70? But I got mine from a bro who DIY it for his marine tank, $90.
The controller can also be used for the chiller itself if the chiller's sensor is not good and keeps kicking in and out often
