Hi all, I have read that shrimps are very sensitive to metals so even like the metal weights for plants shouldn't be used in the tank. But I'm making a moss carpet for the tank and have purchased metal wire mesh.. Can I use this in the shrimp tank?

Also, any idea where I can buy ANS1000 fan? I have searched like 6-7 lfs and some don't even carry the brand ANS. even if they do, they only carry then ANS3000 one..

Sliver, Copper and Aluminum are confirmed dangerous.
Iron will rust but you need alot more to cause poisoning.
    Brass should be ok.
    Gold is ok too :P

Those lead use to sink plant remember not to use them. Or when you buy from Lfs those plants remove the lead before planting into tank.

I remembered seeing the smaller size ANS fan at Seaview. You can try your luck there.
