you can visit clementi Block 328 or greenchapter
Hi guys and girls ,
I am flying to Singapore in April this year and would love some ideas on must do things aquarium related .
I am probably staying in the "Chinatown" area but am willing to use public transport to move around.
Is there any nice aquariums that you can recommend , shops that contain good stock ( dry goods cant take back fauna or flora ) and possibly a fish farm that may allow me to visit?
Thanks in advance
Graeme

I would recommend Seaview and C328 for shop with many different choice of equipment. I'm not sure if seaview still at their current location on April.
Fish farm would be Qian Hu but may not be able to enter the farm area.
Hi Graeme,
For LFS, I believe there are more than those listed here.
Spread out all across the island, we have:
C328, Green Chapter in the west,
Y618, CCK 306(Hong Yang), NKS, JZX in the North/ North western,
Sam Yick, Aqua MArin, Yun Feng in the east,
Nature Aquarium, East Ocean in Central Singapore.
I believe there are many more.
For farms, you can try:
Qian Hu and Jireh Marine @ Jalan Lekar, Teo's PLant farm, Gan's Discus(altums, Discus, Arrowanas and Jumbo Cardinal)(Western Singapore)
Mainland, Tropical, Ongs Tropical Fish(OTF), Ah Pek(plant) @ Pasir Ris Drive 12(Extreme Eastern SINGAPORE).
Hope this help.
From the Chinatown area you can take 166 along South Bridge Road or 147 along New Bridge Road. That will bring you to Clementi and to C328/Green Chapter. To go to GC it is one stop before Clementi Central, across the road from a mosque. The buses will pass by Dover MRT, after which it is 2 bus stops to GC and 3 to C328. C328 is at the next bus stop after GC. Cross the side road towards the NTUC branch, then turn to your right and cross over. You will have to climb a flight of stairs. Past a coffee shop and a small clinic, that is C328. Polyart is a few more shops down the same row of stores.
I would advise you to visit the LFS section in the forum and use www.streetdirectory.com to map out your travelling plan as it will state all available bus stops in the area. For the farms like Qian Hu, you have to take the shuttle bus from Choa Chu Kang (CCK) MRT I believe. I don't remember where the shuttle bus drop off/pick up point is however.
These are in the west of the island, I have no idea for the other zones since I only visit these two LFS along with Hong Yang at CCK Central.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
Hi Graeme, this is jungle-mania from aquarium life! I have not been on Aquarium Life for almost a year! Fancy meeting you here on this forum too!
Haha Jungle,
Nice to "catch "you on here
Graeme
In the heart of Chinatown, just beside the hawker centre, 2nd storey of Blk 4, there is a LFS. It's not that fanastic though. A old LFS.
There is another LFS nearby, fondly called TB Ben at Tiong Bahru. Exact address should be Seng Poh Road, Blk 71. If you are there, you can also just go to the market to explore. There are 2 more aquarium shops.
Hope you enjoy your stay in S'pore and happy LFS hopping around.
TY guys
really looking forward to the trip
And who knows , maybe I will bump into some of you in the listed shops above
Graeme
