Yes and no in some sense.
Some rocks do alter water parameter, but IMHO your not keeping crs focus on growing plants not keeping water parameters to this/that without knowing the reason behind them.

FYI, I seldom test my waters unless death ratio high or shrimps have issue molting. (gh affecting). My test strips bought seldom used.

My plants are not doing well in the tank, i'm sourcing for some low requirement plant right now. maybe java moss and fern
