Hello New to the Site but 5yrs into Planted Tanks

Hello,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have had a aquarium ever since I can remember. Whether I was just putting stuff in it as a kid to planted aquariums now. I have been doing planted tanks for over 5yrs now.

Its cool, to finally see a forum with planted tanks and Killies. My favorite fish is the Blue Gularis.

Wow, isn't running a planted tank expensive? I used to try it. But the Power bill killed me

It's not too bad where I'm at. I have 10 running right now in a 2 bdr apt. and my bill is only $150 a month of that. Compact flourescent bulbs 6500k daylights in a incadescent hood you can grow anything without drawing hardly any energy.
