Trichogaster Leeri (Pearl Gourami) habitat info?

I couldn't find anything but general info about the biotope of this fish. I know that it lives in SE Asia, in heavy planted areas but only this.
I've never found any photos (especially underwater) of it's habitat.
If you could help me...
I want to set up a Pearl gourami biotope aquarium.
What plants can I use?
What other fishes living together with pearl gourami in the real nature?
and, of course, if you could suggest any site with photos of it's habitat...

Since they are found in lowland swamps in South East Asia, it should be overgrown with reeds, grasses and other marsh plants. Perhaps you can utilise Eriocaulon or grassy species if you can find any.
