    Memebers,

    My marine tank have red slimy algae glowing. It is a red thin skin layer covering the rock. When I peel it, there are dust particle below it. I suspect was the water current but it is not.

    Does anybody know what is causing it and how to remove it.

    My tank is a 5 feet tank equip with extra 4 powerhead.
    I am usung a Iwakee.... pump, sorry do not know the spelling. 2 X 150 watt metal halite light & chiller.

    I need to admit that I have not changes the tank water for about 2 years. I just add chemical and water only

    lasy me !!!

    oh man u hv an iwaki n u still say not enuff flow........kee kee kee
    ya i think u hv too much nutrients in ur tank...try to do more water changes lah.
    hv u tried hermits? they r really gd at cleanin my rocks
    ur tank sound very gd...do u hv a pic of it?

    try to brush them off.. they are known as cynobacteria... while some amt is tolerable.. they can spread very fast... do more water changes.. less feeding.. it could also be due to your overstocking of the tank...
