Hi Jiiang,
nice tank you have there.
What is the foreground?
I suggest you cutting the java fern and bolbitis down to rhziome and let them grow back in better form.
perhaps you want to change your light to something that distributes more evenly.
bad

I like it, but like lorba, feel that the background plants needs a little trimming to enhance the overall look.
Adoketa, Breitbinden, Paciquamis, Diplotaenia, Elizabethae, Mendezi, Inka, Agassizi, L046, L066, Crystal Red Shrimps
hi lorba, nice to meet you, and thanks for your adviseI'm going to cut the fern soon. ( althought the last time I already tried to cut one of my bunch bolbitis but I nerver seen them grow back, ?
)
the foreground is natural mini fissident, there are a lots in my country, people exploit them from nature, it costs 10$/ 1 m2![]()
hi marle, thanks for your same idiea with lorba.
add some pictures -
one of my super rc was eating food ... she hidden her eggs...

Nice & natural.
I think I have that mini fissiden too but I found it in Singapore, growing terrestrially on a small stone. It has since developed submersed leaves and the growth rate is very slow. Are yours attached to something?
hi wong
yes, I tied some of them on rocks, and on bark. I found that they adhered on bark than rock as I unravel thread out of them.
minifiss of mine also developed ubmersed leaves, I agree with you that they grow slow but nice, I like this point because they wont change my aquascape in long-term, and no need to pare.

Will like to know what type of Eriocaulon is that on the right hand coner of the tank. How big can it grow to??
wow.. that mini fissiden lawn!.. very nice.
Hi Tian85
that is Eriocaulon sp from Vietnam, I tried to find the name of it for you but that seems be not on the google.let me ask people in my Vietnamese forum, aswer you later.
in the good condition, it will be long 7.5 cm. I bought it from a person who exploited in rice-field near his town.it might cost 5 cent of Sing $ in my country but in Aus it cost over 10$
hi Evolutionz, thanks for your comment .![]()

add some pics.
would you like to see my DIY chiller that can use for my 72lit tanks and cool down my tank to 25*C ?
total cost: 20S$ and free old mini fridge from my mom, she doesnt want to use it so I ask it for me.
here that is
1. 3,8 m long inox pipe.
small pump in side.
the result is
at mid night it can cool down to 24,5*C![]()

nice scape you have there? may i ask you achieve your fissiden foreground? I tried tying with wire mesh but after months of slow growth it still seems like more wire mesh then fissiden.
my esperience is mini fissidens will grow better if you tie them carefully on small lava rock (3-6 cm), or drift wood, in 25-27*C, add a bit CO2, you will see different result after months.
wire mesh is not suitable for growing this mini fiss.
I hope some advises above could be useful for you.
Can show us how u DIY your chiller?
oh! I sold it to buy the old Misubishi one, ( cost 80 S$)
because the mini one is slow (a day) to cool down ,just only 72l tank to 25*C, so I decided to change it with higher capacity to cool down 2 my (72l) tanks to under 25*C at the same timejust in 6-8 hours,
I borrow the idea from a member (Cuội) in my Vietnamese forum,
it's quite simple but also have some prolems about the bigger size of the doble door refrigerated cabinet ( maybe I should put coke or pepsi in cool cabinet to drink when I contemplate my tanks)
1. firstly, I asked the seller (repairman) to chisel through the Freeze cabinet , of course I have to mesure the diameter of inox pine. here is the pics
after that, put the roll inox pipe into the freeze cabinet, and fit 2 short inox pipes to the holds.
a mini pump cost 3 S$ is used for pumping the water from the box into tank.
ps: the water from the tank flows through 2 m long inox pipe in the freeze cabinet to the box which is same water level with the water level of the tank, so it makes a circle water flow.
the result is
too much vapour on the glass surface, hard to see
have a nice weekend - everyone
total I have to spent for this, is around 100 S $ = 1 chiller cool down 24*C for 2 - 72l tanks

Your DIY chiller is really creative. Unfortunately, my tank is in the living room and my fridge is at the kitchen.
By the way, to chisel through the fridge, where or which part of the fridge did u choose ie. Front/back/side ? What is the depth for this hole?

I'm going to add 10 grade S more at this weekend - will update for everyone enjoy
cheers!
hi, what i'm confused with your DIY chiller set up is, the mini-pump from the box pumps cool water back to the tank. But how does water flow from the tank to the mini-fridge?
getting better and better!!!![]()
