    Re: OreO tank

    Hi Bro

Initially i wanted to set up like this because my first design failed .. But i decided to make it all black cause i am having crs .. So black will make it looks nicer .. haha .. I think you need alot of green to make it look nice .. Like a garden path way .. Or more tall plants where people can focus on the leaves .. while the white and blacks make it look like snowing .. hehe .. just my opinion

Very nice slope bro. How do you plan to maintain it? Over time, water flow and the shrimps will erode it and bury anything that is planted there

just gonna leave it natural. the slope steepness will reduce overtime but there will still be an obvious slope i guess.
any more black/white deco i can add to this tank? haha

I suggest you use some dragon or sekryu rocks to hold that slope.
You can always plant some plants or moss to beautiful the tank. But do test the gh/kh before using such rocks.

Some pieces of flat slate cutting into the slope for reinforcement might be good. I used those leftover coconut shells when my plants tied on the the shells died off, as supports for my mini slope in my tank. Works very well since it's held in place by the substrate.

Other alternatives are small pieces of driftwood arranged in a quarter circle shape so it reinforces the slope too. You can hide them with the bottom section of the slope, or let the shrimps "bulldoze" the area for you.

Frankly shrimps now only will bulldozer last time I use a slated rocks they slowly dig soil over the rocks. Than next setup I use a partition to create a big step between the soil and front part of Tanks. Still they are able dig along the edge and throw soil over haha. Amazing creature!!
