Good morning everyone....
I've got the abovementioned plant (finally!) , but I'm not really sure how to plant it. From the AQ's plant database, it comes under 'the bulb' category.
It's in my tank now and I'm not sure whether the plant has roots. But I remember it has that 'bulby' stuff as big as a toe.
So, what's the correct way to plant it?
Thanx for reading....and the responses all!

Aight! Thanx geof!
Actually, when I got the plant, I saw the shop owner uprooted it from the rather fine sandy gravel.
That's when I noticed certain corners of the bulb had turned black and emitted pungent stench. But I still bought it cos I wanted the plant. I've since cut off the bad part of the bulb but still wasn't sure whether the bulb should be buried or tied to driftwoods like some nanas do.
The plant seems fine now but yet to be planted correctly. Will do so tonite. Thanx again Geof!
Hi,
I have a Aponogeton ulvaceus for a year now. Yes just push the bulb into the gravel and let it sit in it. But let 1/3 of the bulb be above the gravel.
It will take some time(a few weeks to months) for the plant to acclimatise your tank before it start growing new leaves. Be patient. Once it reaches its main growing cycle, you will see new leaves almost every other 2-3 days.
As some books record, all Aponogeton-species need a period of rest!!
Thanx Albert!
