Any expert can advise if CRS and BDS can survive in a tank of soil and partial sand tank setup. Thinking of setting up a tank 80% soil and 20% sand scaping. need some advise.

Won't say it doesn't work it depend on the type of sand you intend to combo with. Most important is your parameter and the sand doesn't affect. Like 2 days ago I was looking for some find sands and found it at 328 nearly buy it until I ask uncle than realize it is coral sand it wasn't label but is the type of fine sand I was looking for. Maybe your refer to bro zackzhou setup or check out with him his combo.
