And by the way, my java moss( referring to diffrent moss from above) has some algae on it. By putting SAE into my tank affect my shrimps or shrimplets?
I tried carpeting my soil with some moss. Not sure what it's name is. I failed a few times as they just keep floating up to the surface or they just don't stick to the soil. Is there some way to make the carpet stay on to the soil? My moss was intitally tied on to a dome made out of coconut that I bought from Seaview at $7.50. I didn't use the dome anymore so I removed the moss and tried to make it grow on to the soil. Please advice. Thank you!

tie it on a mesh. it will sink to the bottom
Low tech tank FTW!
then how to remove the mesh when it grows? or dont remove it? wont it look wierd with a wire mesh under it?
when your moss grows, the mesh cant be seen
Low tech tank FTW!
you can use steel wire mesh so it wont float. probably your using a plastic mesh, if like this you have to anchor it down to your soil by putting a rock on it something so it wont float
What type of moss that is low maintainence and used for carpeting? And where can I get it??
US Fissidien. Weeping moss. Spiky moss. Java Moss.
US Fissidien moss where can I get them? Preferably already on wire mesh already. I went to a few shops but they don't have it.
Ur moss grows on sponge?
I bought two moss on sponge before.
Just need to put some heavy rock on the moss for a day or two.
It will sink.
Have you tried the Marketplace? There's always people selling US Fissidens tied on SS mesh so you can ask them to sell you if they're located near where you live. If you're staying in the west, C328 always has US Fissidens or you can try GC.
Of all the mosses, I feel Java Moss is the easiest and least demanding.
