Your KH is within a good range. Change it and you will have to risk losing your PH buffering capability.
Hi,
Would like to ask all sifu here.. Is water KH important for shrimp?
My tank parameter as follow:
pH: 6.0 ~ 6.5
GH: 5
KH: 4
Keeping the neocaridina group of shrimp
Im using API testkit to measure the KH. May i know if i need to drop 4 drop to let the speciment change to yellow color. Does it means the water KH is 4?
How to control the KH to reach 2 or lower than that?
Please advice.Thanks

What is the KH of your tapwater?
Huh? You keeping caridina or neocaridina? Eg. CRS or Cherries
Well, whatever it is. How are your shrimps doing? Are they moulting okay? Don't have to be too obsessed with the parameters unless they start climbing to extreme levels. The reason I say this is because the changes that you do might be more lethal to the shrimps than the parameters itself.
Hehe...
Im keeping some Fire Red and Orange at the moment...Thinking of get some CRS soon later....
Alright, will try them in my tank and see the response then. Wish me luck...
Make sure you acclamatise them slowly.
