Hi all, I'm currently using Ada a2 4cm as base , ( soil is used for 6months and mixed with Bacter 100 and powersand) and on top of that I have 2cm get green soil brand new, the reason for the GEX soil was keep the fertile Ada a2 for the water colume and in hopes to supress the acidity of the a2 as well, but I notice the GEX soil is rather porous and large as compare to the a2 , will excessive nutrients leak to the water colume and cause an algae bloom, ph wise my reading from my API test kid is yellow which is 6.0 I presume,

Please kindly advise on my current situation,
    Is the ph too acidic?
Will there be an algae bloom?

Let start with your tank dimension, light wattage, and CO2. What plant do you have? densely planted or just sparingly?
