    Used U.P soil with old sea mud. some rocks and drift wood with java moss tied. us fissidens just tied to wiremesh. and a moss ball. added peat as a media in my HOF as well.

    How much did you spend?
    IMHO will look better with darker rocks. But it's my personal view only.

    ya i dont really like my rocks either but changing them is it possible? with all the water and shrimps inside? around $50

    Make sure you wash and quarantine well. If it is already established tank then better don't risk it for fauna sake.

    When your fire red breed with your fire yellow .. You will have a x-man shrimp.. And it may not be that beautiful .. =)

    It's in my room. Temperature is ard between 26-28. Its led light so I don't think it gives out much heat.
    Anyway I've changed my scape to rockcape only. Lol. Waiting for carpet to grow now.

    I like the set up....loads of plants...... might seem a little cramp..... but i think its ok...... so long as the little fellows in there has not started to reproduce.....

    Maybe shrimplets for the first week, I don't have problem with them as my RCS population keep booming.
    I have never see them attack the shrimplets although sometime they are curious and went very near to get a look at them and then move away.

    I have tetras in my tank together with the shrimps as well...... So far no problem.
