Hi gchoo,
Clement here,
You can but you got to consider the height for your lower rack have to be higher to put the lights unless you put a tank that is lower in height.

how about getting a workshop to customise a 2 tier stand?
that way you'll have no worries of insufficient clearance.

Thanks for the advice so far... Yeah I have to take note of the lighting for the lower tank (enuff space allocated there) and also make sure the whole setup doesnt hit the ceiling!
Any other pointers that I should take note of? I'm thinking of the external filtering for the tanks... Assuming that I put all the external filters on the floor...Dunno whether the filter strong enuff to propel the water back to the top tank (using a 2026)? Also not sure the other filter can work for the bottom tank since almost same level mah...
Any advice of your experience on this one?![]()

check the 2026 product spec. there should be an item on 'pump head'. this defines the max height the pump can 'push' water. i am sure that 2026 can handle a 2 tier rack.
as for lower tank, there would not be a problem at all. just ensure your filter is below min water line.

A picture speaks a thousand words?
2 tier 4 ft (18" X 18") with lights and external cannister filters.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
