Hi Draka, will touch your hornworts if they hungry![]()

Haha good to hear, means they getting enough to eat. Thanks for the compliment bro![]()

You are welcome bro Draka, hope we can have a sulawesi keeper gathering![]()
Guys, let's not ride on stormhawk's thread for our discussion, though I have been guilty for such things on past occasions
stormhawk, are you planning to introduce Sulawesi snails into your tank? how big an army of them, if you are that is.

No worries on riding the thread. I will keep some snails with my shrimps when I get the tank I want. Probably 5-6 of just one type of Tylomelania. I like the yellow rabbit.

yellow rabbit and orange rabbit seem to me less fussy than the spotted varieties. By the way, one mating can produce at least 3 offspring, just a warning ^^
i don't know about the rest but i love the spotted varieties! next is the orange tylos. just hope the offsprings turn out to be the spotted ones

hmm but do they cross or are they separate species?

2 weeks in my care, the Blue Apple Snails have grown much bigger:
The largest one in my tank, the shell has grown roughly 2.5 - 3cm. The dark section is the new section of the shell. The Java Moss strand to the left is for comparison, it is crawling on a Minerock.
Same snail, this time showing the size of the foot. It's grown twice in size over 2 weeks from the time I first got it.
GC uncle feeds them the same stuff I do but mine are growing faster.![]()

Is the growth rate also determined by the space it has?

I guess so, but mine are in a 4ft tank with sufficient algae and detritus to keep them happy. The odd thing is, mine are growing much faster than I expected. Plus, I noticed they like to dig in the substrate and their slime gels the substrate together after they have sifted that area.
As for the tank I was looking for, still no stock at C328. Aunty said she did ask Rein Biotech for a restock but so far no news.

I had earlier saw the GEX glassterior tanks you mentioned and I now know why you were so adamant about getting them - because they look so great! The slim can make a great table-top companion though. How much does the normal glassterior cost? If it's similar you might as well get a custom-made one. Have you also considered the GEX Genoah series?

I have actually, but they are too small and construction is um.. not so desirable. The white bracing they have is easily stained I think. The Glassterior are amazing tanks but expensive. I'd rather wait for the Marina 600L to appear.
Price for the Glassterior 600 Slim was $45 last I asked at C328. I did not buy one though.

So I guess you're probably going to stick with your current tank since I suppose you're cycling is more or less completed? What species of the shrimps do you intend to have in your tank?

It's already complete but I need it to house something else. Might be converting it into a mini paludarium. I rather wait for the proper tank to come along, so I can do a proper setup for the shrimps. In any event, I will only keep Cardinal shrimp with yellow rabbits I think.
