hi all, just setted up a 2ft tank again after the previous set up was totally infested with bba: (

Currently i am still trying to find the right plants to cover up the inlet pipe... any suggestion?? My glosso is growing fast but strangely they r creeping upward including the roots, does anybody faced this issue before??

Any comments on the tank feel free to comment as i am still trying to get the right combination, especially the placement of the pump and co2 diffuser as i find is not helping to spread the co2 efficiently. .

    hi marcus,

glosso will need some time to fully convert to submersed. in that period you will find good growth speed but poor root griping plus the fact you feel they are reaching for the light like a hungry pig running to food, some also commented new leaf shoots visibly smaller. some people trim and for me i use pincer and tuck them back in.

actually if your concerned with it affecting photo taking and your lazy to take it out like me.. you can consider rotala family of plants.. few variants do have a tint of red and brown and more lively.

diffuser put below lily pipe is the common practice, else switch to inline, but the thou good at diffusing inline require more pressure to work and use your co2 faster...

glosso grow upward normally because lack of light. How many watt is your light? how old is the bulb?

Ya currently i will try trimming and push them back into the soil weekly while changing water...
Initially i placed the diffuser under the lily pipe, trying to find the best position to spread the co2... online really too demanding for my co2 tank ... yes, i am looking for some good rotala family plants

    Shadow, my bulb was changed 4months back t5 24w x 2.

Tks peanut, my idea of this tank is to simple and spacious... hahah yes i agree i need to clean my lily pipe already, been dragging due to laziness

Same as lighting as my low tech. Is just nice can keep glosso.

IMHO, having shrimps will "sabo" the plants when their trying to root. I experience this with Yamato army.
