    2.5ft depth 150W of MH light enuff?
    tank dimensions are 2.5ft (L) by 1.5 ft (D) by 2.5ft (H)
    i know abt the 3W/gal rule but i dun think it applies in my situation does it?
    supposing i have high light requirement plants ...

    mh should be ok for 2.5' depth.
    do note that mh will give a focused light beam so the corners of your tank will get less light.

    wouldn't 2x70w be more effective? the lights covers about 3ft... but the corners will be shaded

    For a 2.5ft hight, the last time i tried , the results isn't very ideal.

    wat you mean by not ideal? Gan's and Teo's tank are 2.5ft high... after adding the substrate... should be slightly above 2ft
