Planting plants using Snails shell

Collected afew pcs of empty snail shell for planting plants. Of course use it after boiling & thoroughly clean & wash before putting into my tank. After few weeks later the plants grow!! The empty snails shell are stuffs will Ada soil. Anyone try this method?

using ada soil which means ur ph is below 7. this will cause those shell to dissolve over time.
i keep apple snails. to me, it is a pain for me to see empty snail shell

Yes, and the dissolving shells will increase KH, GH and pH in the tank.
