    Hi,

I was just wondering. Apart from PH controllers, are there any other kinds of controllers? Like KH, GH? I have seen LFS (can't remember where) with lots of electronic displays within the cupboard of a single tnak and they show readings of different kinds.

My 50USG tank has no such controllers. I do a PH, KH, GH, NO4 and FE check once a week. The test kits are all liquid based and I realised that they r not at all accurate considering the fact that I suffer from slight colour blindness! You have to really stare at the colour and decide for yourself the value. At the end of the day, you r still wondering what r the values of the parameters!

    Anyone with comments or suggestions?

only ph controller is commonly available to hobbyist. for other test that you have mentioned, there may be testers available but i believe these tester are too astronomically priced for hobbyist.

guess hobbyist have to stick with whatever test kits that are available. try sera test kits as the colour differences are significant enough to be differentiated easily.
