I notice some leftover head and tail of shrimps in my tank. Did my other shrimps eat it? Guess i'm feeding too little or is this common?

That piece was probably got jump on during molting. It happen especially if the shrimps is dying or having diffculty molting or eithher that piece was death in some corner and they drag it out.

Than most likely could be already dead. Yes that why when a shrimp molt you will see it go into hiding. Or they will swim to higher ground i've see my old shrimp molting and got jump on but it it was old and weak. The younger one will normally spring away when other shrimp go near them.

You need some plants i know people use fissiden etc. But it is best that you put in plants that they can at least hide from sight. Fissden, Pelia etc are good for shrimplet to hide but not adult one.
