Hi guys I just got my hands on a dual gauge solenoid, I'm really confused with the readings ,
    One reads 800
    The other 35
    A full cylinder reads 1000 or 800?
Is it necessary to use a check valve for solenoid?
Will the solenoid be damaged without a check valve?

What you got is a dual gauge regulator.
Full cylinder typically reads 1000 psi.
Yes, check valve would be good, in case of back flow.

    Re: Understanding solenoids.

Normal full tank would be 1000psi. But if your tank in cold aircon area, it will show 800psi. And if it is in hot place, it will show 1200psi.

Check valve is a must, put at least 2 and get the better quality. Those cheap quality does not really work. Your solenoids will not spoil without check valve but your co2 tank will.
