You must be patient if this is a new tank as cycling can take a fair bit of time in most cases. Cloudiness caused by bacteria blooms, takes awhile to disappear and will gradually become clearer as the filter matures. If your cloudiness was caused by the substrate, especially if you had used some fine sand, or did not wash your gravel beforehand, then this might take awhile to clear. You can use a prefilter with fine filter wool to trap any larger particles, and use water changes to get rid of the remaining fine sediment.
However, without more details on your tank, like substrate, tank size, how many fish etc, are not given, it is very hard to determine what is the problem in this case. If you can provide those details it will be easier to help you.
