What is the smallest pleco that doesn't grow big?
    I am looking for one for my 20cm x 15cm x 30cm tank.
    Currently housing one betta.

    Can they coexist?

If you're looking at it as an algae cleaner, why not use oto instead? Guess it will be much more appropiate for your tank size.

    Re: Mini Pleco

I am assuming that you are keeping your betta at a relatively ''cool'' temperature and also that you want something that will eat algeas...so for these reason, my choice would be something in the Chaetostoma gender.

I strongly suggest you to have a little bit of reading on them tough before buying considering that you are not very explicit on your tank set up, particularly on the water parameters.

only if you keep the temperature and the filtration to an adequate lever.

the same as all the plecos anyways.

the only reason why I suggests the chaestotoma gender is for the temperature bracket...but still needs good bio filtration.

Regardless, I suppose its always healthy to have good filtration.

Can consider keeping L183. Nice and don't grow really big.

one or two of the L183 in my planted tank has grown to about 2 inches or more in length. No real measurements, just by estimation.

Either you put Otto, L183 or bumble bee snails. Those 3 either one should do the trick, but if not too much lighting should have too much algae.
Fish keeping is not a good hobby unless you received support from your family to keep them.
