Eheim 2080

Hi, I have just brought a eheim 2080 and wish to know anyone have install the 2 inlet and 1 outlet piping with double taps? Useful? Thanks

if you can remove the inlet/outlet attachment easily, then the double taps may not be useful.
so it will depend on your installation.

That's rite he quoted me same price too, wondering been so many years theres still no promotion on eheim stuff.
But is it worth it for 2080 at this price I wonder.

Eheim stuff will only keep going up. If I'm not wrong, it's like 5% every year.
I have a 2080. It's good I can say. A flow indicator to let me know of it's flow pressure. 2 inlets allows me
To place them at 2 different corners. Also Good for 2 or 3 tier overflow tanks where u can place the inlets at different tanks. And of cos, low power high flowrate ratio

Hi so 2080 is actually a silent canister compare to 2260 with humming sound rite. Possible to take a pict of how you place 2 intakes. I saw some picts on 2080 in/out pipes are in dark grey color rather than the green yet in asia is still using the ugly green.

Hi rubbersandal, My eheim 2080 is 2nd hand but it condition and working great. I have install a double tap at 1 of the inlet piping for easy priming it. Thanks

My piping location is the 2 inlet piping is also place at both side of the tank and then install the outlet with a spraying bar in between the both inlet. Overall the water flow is great and silent too. Nice

Sorry and want to add on is that. Do you all change the piping ones a year? Is I find it very hard to clean all the piping during my monthly filter cleaning sections. Lol. Hope you guys can give me some tips on cleaning the piping and does you all remove all the piping and reinstall them back to the tank again? Just wondering...Like very troublesome

I think not necessary unless your pipings choke.

Hey thanks seahnc I'm not getting at this moment as for weather to change piping, not really a necessary unless choking or you find it unsightful. One way to clean is to get maybe a 20lbs fishing line insert it to the pipe with one end tie a piece of wool and pull through from the other end.
