The genes are shared between the male and female and they are more or less totally random. Each parent contributes 50% of their genes to each shrimplets

It is fifty fifty like us so best is breed both parents with solid colours
Why do people do selective breeding? to get the best of both world
Thanks for the comments.
So, if I breed an snow white with an crs, I will get 50% snow white and 50% crs.
But how about the grade of the shrimplets?
Ken
Will it be good or it will deteriorate from the original grade?
It depend bro if you do a read some people oversea use snowhite to enchance the whiteness but your generation after that will have a tendency of producing white at lower pattern.
Example if let say your crs is pure breeding no mixing of whites. Unless you do extreme breeding meaning you take pattern that have more whites than red you will get snowwhite maybe 2-3 pieces.
But if you intro snowwhite into your crs breeding the tendency of it breeding out white at low pattern exist. So if you are just doing it for your own eye enjoyment yes. But some of the people breed to sell so it will not be that great for their buyer to come back and say hey your shrimp produce white.....
Especially if you are having those high end PRL that have been the argument all this while.
Hope it help for more info do a goggle
Snow-white mated with CRS will produce all 100% CRS but with more "white" patterns and faded colored overall.
This topic is about genetics and is not so straight forward as there are recessive and dominant alleles at work, or homozygous and heterozygous genotypes.
What we can see in the shrimps is the phenotype. You may have to do quite abit of reading and understanding bro
Breeding a solid coloration x solid coloration will also have low lousy quality shrimp....
But at a lower percentage.....
What do you get when you breed cull X cull then?
Hahaha...good question...
Culls x Culls...
I used to have a 2 feet planted where I dump in my culls...
There might pop up some nice pieces...
Overall depends on the parental genes I believe
